The road took us back to Bosnia and Herzegovina to a small village just across the border called Višegrad. At the time of our arrival there was some sort of a parade, luckily for us to see. Like I said the village is so small you can walk through it in 15 min. So we decided to take a boat tour, it was only 2€ per person. As for the food, čevapčiči, pleskavice, raznjiči, kajmak. If you like meet, you will love it here.

Sarajevo

Our trip consisted of enjoying the day and traveling from city to city at night, so it was important all the hotels, hostels and camps were opened 24/7. In Sarajevo was again time for a hotel we had the address but we couldn’t find it for the longest time. 😀

Disadvantage for traveling with a car to the cities is parking. Most of the time you have to choose between location or parking and that sucks.

Sarajevo is a nice city with an old “center” Baščaršija a great place to stroll around, go for a traditional coffee and baklava and just getting lost.

To tell you a funny adventure from Sarajevo. We found on Tripadviser “Park prinčeva” of course we didn’t check it out online but just took the coordinates. They were renovation a few streets so we drove around for 20 min up on a hill, eventually we asked some workers where it is, they started laughing and said you just passed it by, its 10m back and there is a big parking. The parking looked very abandoned and soon we figured out that the park is actually a restaurant… So we ate our fresh and warm burek on the fence of the abandoned parking.. To continue the adventure we set to go to Olympic bobsleigh track, again we put the coordinates in gps. It’s not always the best this to have your gps prefrences set to “the shortest way” 😀 😀 😀
This park prinčeva was on the same side off the hill as the Olympic track so normally we trusted when it told us to go up the hill. For a while the road was ok, but the higher we were the worse the road was. Finally the concrete road ended. We were just about to turn our car around and find a different way up when one of the locals stepped outside and we asked him for an advice 😀 …Well, he told us yea sure you can go up with a car.. I asked him 3 times just to be sure because the road did not look even a bit appealing and it was just getting worse. The road was so extremely bad i honestly thought will just have to leave the car there and say goodbye to it…

Vrelo Bosne

Spring of the Bosna river is a public park, featuring a spring of the River Bosna, at the foothills of the Mount Igman on the outskirts of Sarajevo. Extremely beautiful and a must see. It’s about 6km from Sarajevo.

Jajce

The last place on our list was Jajce (meaning Egg). When doing a research on it, it didn’t astonish me that much. But once I was there I felt in love with it. The most beautiful and extraordinary place, definitely my favorite place on this trip.

There is a camp by the lake called Jajce, it’s not much (I prefer wild camping) but the staff was very nice and they rent bicycles. Renting a bike in Jajce is a must thing to do and trust me I’m not a bike girl at all. In fact my bike broke down like 5 min after renting it :D. The staff were again really nice and repaired it and in the mean time they gave me their personal new bike which of course Gregor didn’t allowe me to touch. 😀

Pictures are worth a ton of words so let them speak.

On the way home, we stopped at Una national park. The roads can be quite poor time to time but the park is really beautiful and huge, but its mostly a drive-through park.

Banja Luka

was actually the first on our trip, a lovey small city with excellent food, great bars and parties, camping places and cool looking ice cream. This city is definitely worth returning to.
